1. Handle with care: Although your locket is coated with a silver/gold/rose gold layer, it's still important to treat it gently. Avoid dropping or knocking it against hard surfaces to prevent scratches or damage.
   
2. Keep it dry: Exposure to moisture can cause the electroplated coating to wear off over time. Avoid wearing your locket while bathing, swimming, or exercising to preserve the finish. Additionally, make sure to store it in a dry place.
   
3. Clean gently: To clean your locket, simply wipe it with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or ultrasonic cleaners, as these can damage the electroplated layer.
   
4. Remove while applying cosmetics: Lotions, perfumes, and other cosmetics can cause the electroplated coating to fade. Remove your locket before applying these products and wait until they are fully absorbed before wearing your locket again.
   
5. Store properly: When not in use, store your locket in a soft pouch or a lined jewelry box. This will help prevent scratches and protect the electroplated finish from environmental factors.
